Leonie Glassplein
An open, light-filled courtyard garden in the heart of DIVA. Leonie Glassplein is a place to pause, connect and enjoy the museum in all its sparkle. It is ideal for use as a reception area, networking, or a stylish reception.
The reference to diamonds
Both the design and the new name of the square, which was redesigned in 2020, refer to diamonds. Leonie Glass (1876-1961) was a distinguished figure in the Antwerp diamond community and the mother of diamond cutter and dealer Marcel Tolkowsky. The design refers to the open mines where diamonds are mined. The typical layering of the mines is represented with brass lines that accentuate the existing relief of the square. It is a semi-public space: open during DIVA’s opening times. Feel free to take a break here during your visit to the museum.

The square has a maximum standing capacity of 400 people.
The standard layout does not include furniture, but this can be adapted to your needs and preferences. If you wish to use your own furniture and set-ups, please let us know in advance. Heavy equipment such as food trucks, cars and light lorries are not permitted. Use of the kitchen is not included.
