Accessibility

DIVA is centrally located in the historic centre of the city and is easily accessible on foot, by bike, by public transport or by car.

DIVA is located in the historic centre of Antwerp, in the pedestrian zone just behind the Grote Markt. You can park your bike in the bike park on Suikerrui.

Are you getting to DIVA by Velo? There are two stations nearby.

  • Station 059 - Het Steen
  • Station 060 – Grote Markt in Wisselstraat

Bus and tram

De Suikerrui is located near the Grote Markt and Groenplaats and is easily accessible by bus and tram. Please check the De Lijn website for the latest information.

Train

The train network has excellent connections with buses and trams.

  • Are you travelling to DIVA from Ghent? Then take the train to Antwerp-South station.
    From Antwerp-South station, take tram 4 or bus 181 or 183 to Groenplaats.
  • If you are coming from other directions, it is best to get off at Antwerp Central.
    From Antwerp Central station, take tram 11 to Melkmarkt.

Walk from Groenplaats towards the Cathedral of Our Lady and continue to the Grote Markt. Continue towards Het Steen. DIVA is on your right.

The free Sint-Anna ferry service operates between the pier at Frederik Van Eedenplein (on the Left Bank) and the pontoon at Het Steen (within walking distance of DIVA). Check the timetable and other practical information on the website of the Sint-Anna ferry service.

The Waterbus also takes you straight to DIVA. The Waterbus departs from Steenplein, within walking distance of DIVA.

You can park your car in the public car parks Grote Markt or Groenplaats. Or park on the outskirts of the city and continue your journey by bus or tram. 

Please note! Bear in mind that the centre of Antwerp is a low-emission zone. Check whether your car meets the requirements.
