In the newly designed permanent exhibition “DIVA, a Brilliant Story,” you can discover the various stages of a piece of jewelry or silverware: from the mine to the finished product. See how diamonds are mined, how silversmiths work, and learn more about the art and use of these beautiful objects. Admire 650 diamonds, pieces of jewelry, and silver objects dating from the 15th century to the present day.
The museum is located in an important historical setting: Antwerp has been the diamond capital of the world for more than 575 years. Starting in the 15th century, Antwerp’s Grote Markt and the surrounding streets were the go-to destination for anyone in Europe seeking items made of gold, silver, and gemstones. Immerse yourself in this history and discover the stories and objects from Antwerp’s heyday to the present day. Visit the exhibition and prepare to be amazed!
